Running in Jimbaran means running on the beach, at least for the majority of your run. Access the beach via one of the seafood restaurants behind Le Meridien Bali Jimbaran, or directly from Intercontinental Bali Hotel if that’s where you’re staying. Once on the beach you can run in southern direction towards the end of the beach, in front of Four Seasons Bali and SundaraBeachclub. Turn around and run toward the north. You can go as far as the harbor, on the way passing a second section of Jimbaran’s popular seafood restaurants.
Running here is a lot of fun, but make sure to check the tide chart as you don’t want to plough through the soft sand during high-tide. Here you’ll find happiness in just being on the beach, in watching fishermen return from their early morning fishing trip, in dogs playing happily together, and in seeing airplanes taking off and landing as you’re very close to Bali’s International Airport Ngurah Rai.
If you want to add in some hill training, there’s a hilly road, leading from Le Meridien Jimbaran to Sundara Beach Club and Four Seasons; ideal for your hill repeats!
