Bali Tree Top Adventure!

Bali Tree Top Adventure!

If you are afraid of heights this activity is NOT for you, if you are into some adventure and action keep reading!

We have long known about Bali Tree Top Adventure but had never quite made it there in all of our Bali trips. During our recent visit we made it! Located in the Botanical Gardens near Bedugul (which are fabulous to check out themselves full of orchids and beautiful gardens) this part of Bali is quite a cool change from the heat on the coastline. It take around an hour an half to reach via car from South Bali (Kuta/Legian/Seminyak). The drive itself is gorgeous going through many village areas with beautiful rice fields.

When you arrive at the Botanical Gardens there is a small fee to pay per person which is not included in the price of the tree top adventure, it is around $2 per person. The Tree Top Adventure is very professionally run and we found it to have high safety standards. Everyone is fitted with a harness on arrival and given a safety brief on the practice run. After that you are free to go and try all of the circuits that you are tall enough for. Their is a measuring chart at the start of each circuit which determines if you are tall enough to go on. Each run consists of balancing, climbing and flying foxes and a whole lot of fun!

We took our children 5 and 9 and they both couldn’t get enough, in fact we were lucky to go there on a quiet day and they spent 4 hours straight doing the circuits they could over and over. They listed it as one of their favourite activities they have even done in Bali.

The Tree Top Adventure is open everyday from 9.30am to 6pm. We found the pricing very reasonable at $22 USD per adult and $14 USD per child, there are also family packages available. Our advice would be to make a day of it and check out Bedugul while you are there. Other things you may be interested in in this area are:

Visit the Botanical Gardens, and see its collection of Orchids

Take a boat ride in Lake Bratan (Traditional boat, Jet-Ski, Parasailing)

Check-out the traditional Bedugul Market, full of local spices, foods and crafts

Visit the unique Ulun Danu Temple

Play Golf in Bali Handara Kosaido Golf and Country Club

Go Strawberry picking (Bedugul is famous for it's fresh produce!)

We really enjoyed the having lunch afterwards in Warung Rekreasi in Bedugal which had a fantastic “old school” playground for the kids to play in while we all enjoyed our lunch, it’s definitely worth a visit on your way back.

Bali Buddies can book this experience for you and even a tailor a day out in Bedugul with one of our drivers which includes the tree top adventure. Email us at relax@balibuddies.com to plan your itinerary!
