Kombi Cruising!

Kombi Cruising!

We are super excited to announce that Bali Buddies has become a booking agent for trips in tours in the incredible Kombi vans pictured in the gallery!!

Before we could share this with you all we of course needed to try out one of the Kombi’s ourselves first…..

We chose to try out one of the Safari packages offered with the Kombi; there is are Spa Safari, Food Safari, Adventure Safari, Cultural Safari and our pick – Cocktail Safari!! The Safari’s (listed below) are just suggestions, you can also come up with your own customised tour.

The kombis can comfortably seat up to five adult guests and with every safari comes a tour guide and driver. The vehicles themselves are magnificent. Fully restored and decked out with a bar, 8 speaker sound system with over 2000 songs to choose from (or you can bring your own), phone chargers and free wifi. They are definitely a fabulous way to travel around Bali.

Our cocktail tour included being picked up from our villas in Seminyak and taken to three different venues (some which were surprises) and we also had a stop at a secret temple to learn a little more about the Balinese culture and Hindu religion. We thought this was a really nice touch and all really enjoyed our temple visit.

The Bali traffic was not an issue in our “Mellow Yellow Kombi” as we had the tunes pumping and the bar stocked. The price of the drinks was really reasonable and the driver and tour guide would restock anything we ran out of at each stop. When night time fell we also enjoyed the coloured disco lights in the kombi too!!

We have such a fantastic and memorable day. It really was a great way to spend a special day with friends while in Bali. We would definitely like to try some of the other safari trips in future.

If you are thinking a day out in one of these kombis seems right up your alley drop us an email at relax@balibuddies.com and we can quote you for the different options.

Elephants and Artist’s
“A day for the kids big & small”This is one of our favourite days as it combines something for everyone in the Family.
We start the day by picking you up at your villa just before 0800 nad the we head to Bali Zoo, thi is the best place to see and learn about Elephants in Bali.

Bali Zoo is very close the beach areas just a 45 minute driver and then only 15 mins from the Zoo to Ubud making it an easy day with children in cars not wondering how long it will take to get there.

The Bali Zoo opened in 2002 as the island’s first and only Balinese-owned zoological park, which still holds true today. We are situated on 22 acres of lush landscape in the art village of Singapadu and are home to a diverse collection of more than 350 exotic animals a majority of which are indigenous to Indonesia, including rare and endangered species such as the Sumatran Elephant, Sumatran Tiger, Orangutan, Sun Bear and Binturong. The animals reside in hundreds of quality built eco-habitats and are well cared by our friendly staff of 170 who work as part of our extended zoo family.
Privately owned but with a real passion for animals in recent years consultants from world renowned Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney Australia have been used to help create a better environment for animals and visitors. The Zoo was created foremost out of his love for animals followed by a desire to conserve and protect various Indonesian fauna and a wish to provide the public with means to share in this wonderful experience for locals and tourists alike. All within a well designed space of natural beauty that is also distinctly Balinese.

Bali Zoo offers a number of unique and one-of-a kind experiences during your visit with us. From our beautifully landscaped and shaded garden paths that lead you through our park to our various ‘hands on’ animal encounter sessions where you are allowed to feed, pet and take photos with number of our zoo inhabitants to our assorted family activities such as our Elephant Back Safari, Bali Zoo is not only a place to observe, learn and marvel at exotic fauna, but also engage with them through our safely supervised activities scheduled throughout the day and night. This is all part of our commitment to conservation, research, education and recreation.

We definitely recommend here that you pre- book the Long Elephant trek and if you really love Elephants then the “ Live like A mahout Program” is definitely not to be missed. If you want to do something different for dinner take the kids to the Zoo at night!! The program operates from 6:30pm until 9:30pm
